The company ALE-HOP offers the scholarship TALENT-HOP every year at Universitat Politècnica de València. This scholarship consists on the re-design of a packaging solution for the brand. Over the past two years, I had the opportunity to test my skills and creativity against other talented individuals and was honored to secure second place in both 2022 and 2023.

Winning second place in both years of the Talent-Hop Packaging Design Challenges has been incredibly rewarding. These projects pushed me to innovate and think critically about design and usability. My journey through these competitions not only honed my design skills but also deepened my understanding of creating practical packaging solutions that resonate with both brands and consumers.

2022 CHALLENGE: SUNGLASSES PACKAGING

The 2022 Talent-Hop Packaging Design Challenge focused on creating a new packaging solution for Ale-Hop's sunglasses. The brief emphasized the need for a design that was fun, original, and sustainable, aligning with Ale-Hop's brand values of creativity, sustainability, and customer engagement

The main goal was to create a design that showcased the sunglasses directly, allowing customers to view the product without unwrapping it. Versatility in display options was essential, ensuring the packaging could be placed both vertically and horizontally in stores. Additionally, the design had to focus on sustainability, striving for an eco-friendly solution with zero plastic usage.

MY APPROACH

I designed a packaging concept that utilized recyclable materials and featured an innovative structure to keep the sunglasses visible and secure. The packaging design incorporated clear sections for product visibility and was tailored to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional in various display setups. This not only enhanced the unboxing experience but also reduced environmental impact by eliminating plastic. Additionally, I developed the graphics of the packaging to align with the new approach the brand was taking, ensuring a cohesive and appealing presentation that resonated with Ale-Hop's identity.
