In today's quickly evolving world, the preservation of traditional craftsmanship stands at a critical crossroads. This project aims to globalize and modernize the transmission of ancient craftsmanship knowledge through AI. Its primary mission is safeguarding cultural heritage and providing invaluable educational resources for future generations.

CAN A NEW EDUCATION BE POSSIBLE???

The project uses machine learning and deep learning techniques to carefully study and recreate the different movements of artisans. This technology is used to create a strong digital educational platform. It's made for art and design students, educators, and researchers, providing an immersive way to explore traditional crafts.

The work recognizes what modern learners and educators need. It meets the call for learning that's accessible, engaging, and forward-looking, while also preserving traditional crafts. By using AI to capture and teach the details of these crafts, the project preserves cultural heritage and encourages people to innovate with this ancient knowledge in today's world.

FOUNDATIONS OF THE RESEARCH

At the heart of the project lie four foundational pillars guiding its mission: technological innovation, utilizing AI to capture and teach traditional craftsmanship techniques with precision; cultural preservation, ensuring the safeguarding and perpetuation of artisanal skills against the threat of time and the consumer society; educational engagement, looking to get a dynamic and interactive learning experience that triggers creativity and curiosity in both students and educators and global connectivity connecting artisans, learners, and educators worldwide, creating a united community committed to preserving and advancing traditional craftsmanship for future generations.

This project in continuously adapting to the changing digital world, trying to revolutionize the way craftsmanship is taught by merging historical methods with modern advancements. The digital platform preserves and teaches ancient skills, celebrating cultural heritage while promoting innovation. The initiative supports "global knowledge, local production," encouraging collaborations among artisans, educators, and learners all over the world. This approach might help local traditions thrive by integrating global insights and technology. The project's goal is to ensure traditional craftsmanship thrives globally, supported by technology and a commitment to preserving culture and providing quality education.

DAFNE +

As part of my role in Horizon funded project Dafne+ Ambassador I've been working in the intersection between the crafts and the use of blockchain technology exposing the project in events and workshops. Currently I'm developing research on how NFTs can be used as certificates in this educational platform that gives value to the different educational crafts courses.

Blockchain will give transparency and inmutability to the certificates. Allowing everyone on the blockchain to validate those. Also will benefit artisans and artists, allowing them to connect with students without intermediaries.
